an effective dose of ultraviolet energy to the liquid
stream. Dose is determined by measuring the ultraviolet
light intensity in the reactor at the furthest point
from the lamp and determining the dwell time of the
liquid in the ultraviolet reaction chamber. This method
is accepted as the key to all successful ultraviolet
disinfection applications.
